Job Description:

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our client account at a facility in East Syracuse, NY. This role is crucial in maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems to ensure smooth production operations.What this job involves:

• Repairing, maintaining, and replacing mechanical systems essential to production
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on dock levelers and garage doors
• Maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Servicing plumbing components and HVAC systems
• Performing repairs on plant steam components
• Monitoring and maintaining leak detection systems
• Conducting maintenance on on-site vehicles and equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks as specified in Maximo Job planWhat your day-to-day will look like:
  • Assisting operations team with building and equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Conducting facility inspections and reporting on conditions affecting client operations
  • Responding to emergencies promptly and effectively
  • Complying with safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment
  • Participating in technical, safety, and operational process training programs
  • Documenting work performance and materials procurement
  • Participating in on-call rotationWork Schedule:
    • Regular Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
    • Additional Requirement: Participation in on-call rotationDesired or Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:
      • Experience with GDP standards
      • Proficiency in using CMMS systems
      • Ability to update work order status accurately and contemporaneously
      • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues to management timelyRequired Skills and Experience:
        • Experience in mechanical systems repair and maintenance
        • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems
        • Familiarity with HVAC systems and components
        • Understanding of plant steam systems
        • Experience with leak detection systems
        • Ability to perform maintenance on various vehicles and equipment
        • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulations
        • Excellent documentation and communication skills Skills/Qualifications:
          • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
          • Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of one (1) year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
          • Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 28 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
