The PRN On-Call Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist in the Enhanced Staffing Solutions Local Flex Team is responsible for providing quality patient care in a manner that reflects a commitment to the core values of the Rochester Regional Health System. In any patient care setting, the CV Rad Tech performs and assists cardiologists in performing angiographic procedures. By working on assignments and/or floating through Rochester Regional Health facilities, you provide care where it's needed most.

*In this role, your primary responsibility is to provide on call coverage outside of core hours (evenings/nights/weekends). If called, you will be asked to report to the facility within 30 minutes to support patients in our community.* *If you are called in there is a 4-hour minimum at Callback Pay.*

On Call Rate: $5.00/hour

Call Back Pay: $65/hour

Required Credentials
* NYS license in Radiologic Technology
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R)
* Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) certification through ARRT - Preferred
* Experience Required
* Two years college certificate or equivalent
* ARRT-R Certification
* Two years of Radiologic Technologist Experience
* Two years of Cardiovascular Radiology Experience

Skills & Abilities
* Responsible for radiography of patients in all assigned areas of cardiology.
* Complete studies in a reasonable time frame and meet department quality standards.
* Handle patients safely and courteously.
* Perform room preparation and cleanup, assistance in procedures, and aseptic/sterile technique are preformed to established standards.
* Perform post-procedure duties including transfer, storage, and hard copy of angiographic studies, are completed promptly and to department standards.
* Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.
* Routinely provide information concerning patient and/or equipment problems to oncoming staff and supervisors.
* Respond to on-call page promptly and arrive within thirty minutes when called in, to be document by logging of times as per established procedure.
* Maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures.
* Ensure all procedure documentation is put in the appropriate areas within the department and in the chart.
* Perform arrangements for patient transport and/or preparation by utilizing department and other personnel through effective communication, as observed by supervisor and evidenced by cardiologist feedback. Transport of stable monitored patients to and from the cath lab area when required after successful completion of BLS training.
* Perform transfer, storage, and hard-copy recoding of procedures promptly, thoroughly and to established quality standards.
* Assist in emergency situations as trained in BLS.
* Actively participate in the maintenance of quality care within the hospital and department.
* Participate in quality assurance procedures within the department to ensure the highest level of patient care.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
