Standard shift: Nights

Description:
Under the general direction of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor,
the Respiratory Therapist renders highly professional and technical
care to patients requiring specialized respiratory care
interventions. -
He/She collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians, and
other members of the healthcare team in the delivery of healthcare
services to a specific patient population. -
The Respiratory Therapist assesses patient needs,
develops/contributes to plan of care, implements, and evaluates
effectiveness of the respiratory regimens in accordance with the
patient's needs and documents such in the medical record. -

Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an
accredited program

Licensing/Certification:
Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility
to obtain
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National
Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (preferred)
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential (if
applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced
Life Support (PALS) certifications (preferred)
BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA or RQI certs only!)

Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

package is based on 12 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject
to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
