POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe MRI Technologist in the Enhanced Staffing Solutions Local Flex Team is responsible for providing quality patient care in a manner that reflects a commitment to the core values of the Rochester Regional Health System. In any patient care setting, the MRI technologist performs technical and specialized skills in the operation of a Magnetic Resonance (MRI) Scanner to produce high quality cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes, while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures. By working on assignments and/or floating through Rochester Regional Health facilities, you provide care where its needed most in our *LOCAL* setting.*Contract Shift Needs: Friday-Sunday 7pm - 7am*Required Credentials* NYS License in Radiologic Technology* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R)* NYS Injection Certification* AHA BLS Certification PreferredExperience Required* A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiologic Technology hospital certificate program.* Two years of experience as an MRI Technologist in a large hospital.* ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification* *Must have GE experience. ** Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications.Skills & Abilities* Performs a variety of routine and advanced MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) procedures in the presence of a strong magnetic field while monitoring and maintaining essential patient care and safety.* Educates patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam.* Maintains accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.* Provides on-call coverage for MRI Section of Radiology.* Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the Radiant Care Connect EMR.* Cleans, restocks, and prepares rooms daily.* Provides excellent customer service.* Verify patient identification and order/requisition; utilizing clinical indications to assess the appropriateness of procedure and consulting with the provider/radiologist for order verification, as needed.* Administers IV contrast media (and must also be competency assessed on orientation and/or annually).* Trained in PACS software and transfers imagining data for archiving and post-data processing.* Follows direct orders from Radiologist or referring provider for MRI imaging and contrast administration via protocol.* Received verbal orders and documents appropriately in the EMR.* Collaborates with all modalities for mutual patient flow.* Performs transport duties as needed.* Monitor patient status; notify nurse/physician in changes of patient condition.* Appropriately maintains all MRI and accessory equipment.* Performs all other duties as assigned.Specialty: MRI TechnologistLocation: Rochester, NYBenefits: contact for detailsShift: Day/NightHoliday & Weekend RequirementsEOE* #HWLHOSTJob Type: ContractPay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Night shift* Overnight shift* Weekends onlyWork Location: In personby Jobble
